“The artist states that this work is a comment on the progression of architectural trends and the growing exclusion of decorative elements in our buildings. The organic forms look weather beaten and aged, yet stand solid as perhaps remnants of something that once was, like glacial erratics from a time that is almost forgotten.
Goncalves integrated the local historic patterns into sculpted concrete in an attempt to bring elements of past and present together.”
